Driving home to Texas

Hey everyone! Yes, we know.... This is a little behind, but better late than never I suppose. :)

On February 6th, Jess and I said goodbye to San Diego. It was bittersweet. We loved San Diego, but are ready to start the next phase of our lives! The 1,100 mile journey went smooth, and was free of disasters..... Minus the rain in San Diego!!!!!! Can you believe that it "rained" in San Diego, on the one day that we are moving ((cardboard+rain=Bad juju)), so we had to spend some extra time making sure that nothing was going to get wet! In the end, we were successful. We were able to move everything that we had left except two plants we had to drop off at Jamie's on the way out. Before we left town we stopped at Wendy's on Miramar road and ate lunch. We ended up leaving just before 1400 pst.

California in the rear-view mirrow... :(

Aspen is the explorer of the two. She had to check everything out for herself.

In Yuma, AZ tightening everything down.

This is what Pyro did the whole trip.... Well, she also sat with Jess for a bit.

The sun setting in AZ.

The drive was rainy from San Diego until we got over the mountains. The coast was clear beyond that... It got dark shortly after leaving Yuma, and was a very boring drive until the sun came up and we were almost in TX. The only exciting thing that happened was that we saw some GIANT elk as we were passing through Cloudcroft NM! These suckers were BIG... Like I said though, it was a very uneventful drive. We got into Lubbock around 1000 cst and got to see the whole family. We ended up staying up and going to a 50th wedding anniversary. My mom's Uncle Lee and Aunt Mary (my great aunt and uncle???) have been married for 50 years!!!! Congrats!

So now we are job and house hunting..... Fingers crossed....

Needless to say I have been so busy since you guys left.

It is and was a sad time to see you go.

I'm sorry its taking me almost been a month in a few days since your move.

I can't believe your no longer next door and the apartment is probably re-rented by now :(

I am glad to see you got out and got to see some snow! Looked like a great trip..

Hope your both doing well.

Miss you to death!

Lucky is good! Drew talks to him almost everyday.. he comes up and looks into his vase and says "Hi Lucky, how was your day today?"

The plants are good, the one has bloomed dark pink and white flowers.. pretty.. of course the wheather changes and they recently in the last few days look like they have started to shrivel a bit.

The other 3 are doing well.

The rain helped.

Take care, enjoy life and live to the fullest!

Luv Always
Jamie and Drew..

Drew says to say hi and he misses u!

God Bless
