Road Trip!!

Hey there everybody!! = ) Man! It's been a long time! Sorry about that! Josh and I have been super busy for the last couple of weeks, preparing for the roadtrip along with our everyday lives! It's been exhausting!!! We are finally on leave and have left busy San Diego behind us for the next 2 weeks! We're really excited about this trip!

Who knew that it ever snowed in Texas!! = ) Well, on Thanksgiving it actually snowed a little bit! It didn't really stick but, it was still pretty cool to see!

But, Josh and I have made it to his parent's house in Lubbock, TX! We got here on Tuesday morning around 9am, Josh having driven 90% of the way (and we drove straight thru! 16 hours!!!). We've been spending a lot of time visiting the grandma's, Josh's best friend Garret, and playing with our adorable little 1 year old neice, Zoey!!

Josh has even learned how to feed a baby and change her diaper! = ) He needs to get the practice in now because one of these days he's gonna have some of his own! And if he thinks I'm changing ALL of the diapers, he's crazy!!

And yesterday the whole family (minus cousin Robin and her family) came over for Thanksgiving Dinner! It was so great to have everyone around and spend time with them all! They are such a blast!

Nikki felt that she wasn't up for picture taking so, this was as good as we could get outta her... for now!!!! = )

We're set to leave here around Noon this Saturday and start our trek across the country to Indiana! We should arrive no later than the 26th! What time of day is still up in the air!! = ) But, no matter what, it will be a fun trip! Going anywhere with Josh is always fun!! = ) He's out shopping with his mom and big brother, Zach, right now, fighting the After Thanksgiving Sales traffic! = ) I decided to take some time out to make a blog before you all strangle me! Haha! And it gives him some one on one family time = ) I figure I get him all the time, I should probably share him a little! Lol. After all, he was theirs before he became mine.

But, we are definatly enjoying our time here, cherishing every minute!! Especially with little Zoey!! She's gonna be big one of these days! We gotta take advantage of the sweet little days while we can! That way when the "big, rotten kid" days start, we can always send her back home! ; )

And this morning we had to give Zoey her present early, because she is staying the night with her other grandparents tonight. Needless to say, she really liked it!! It was a cute little Polar Bear from Sea World with a little Marine Corps t-shirt that says "Cutie on Duty!" = )

And here's Zach, helping Zoey put on a lost shoe! Her daddy loves her so much!

Well, I need to get offa here. Josh and I are giving the family their presents tonight and everyone is starting to show up!!! = )
